LHS Choral Boosters

Choir trips CANNOT take place without the outstanding fundraising through the continued support of our Lincoln Choir Boosters!!  After several major fundraising efforts, this year's choir students had a wonderful time on their trip to St. Louis, MO. Students arrived at the school for an organizational trip lock-in, a 1:30 a.m. departure from the school and a sleepy bus ride through Indiana and Illinois. Arriving n St Louis around 9:30 a.m., they enjoyed a breakfast buffet at the hotel, they visited the Arch ("Gateway to the West") and the Museum of Western Expansion, dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory and headed to the historic Fox Theatre for "The Jersey Boys," an accounting of the life of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. On Saturday they enjoyed breakfast in the hotel and a day at Six Flags. After returning to the hotel to freshen up, they headed back to the historic Paddlewheel vessel on the high waters and turbulent currents of the Mississippi River where they enjoyed a fabulous dinner over the tunes of Dixieland music. Afterward, they returned to the hotel for leisurely pool time and hot tubbing at the Drury Inn & Suites. On Sunday, they visited the quaint St. Louis Zoo, and headed east for dinner at the Gold Corral buffet in Fort Wayne, IN made a late arrival back at the school in Michigan.

All choir parents are choir boosters. The job of the booster organization is to assist and support the director and the students for successful concerts, activities, scholarships, and awards. Booster support provides the students with great opportunity and better allows Mrs. Nevins to focus on her responsibilities as Artistic Director and teacher.

Booster meetings are utilized to organize and manage special choral projects and support the Lincoln choral program for the good of all students. Personal student concerns should be managed individually by scheduling a private appointment with the director.

Proceeds from all fundraisers go either to the students' travel funds, toward choral needs above and beyond school responsibilities, and toward student achievement scholarships, year-end senior scholarships and undergraduate choral awards. Concert proceeds may be tax deductible and supplement the huge yearly expenditure for awards, medals, and scholarships.
